News a Safe Harbor blogAvid Customers Dominate Emmys
Avid Technology, Inc. announced that customers using its industry-leading postproduction systems were winners in every outstanding show and editing category at the 56th Annual Primetime Emmy® Awards. In addition, many postproduction teams for these Emmy award-winning shows deployed collaborative workflows that included multiple Avid® editing, finishing, and shared-storage solutions. "In recent years, many of us who earn a living in this business have been tempted by other systems - but in my opinion, they don’t seem to match what Avid has always delivered," said Chris Willingham, A.C.E., Emmy award-winning editor of 24. "Avid has been at this longer than anyone else and just ‘gets it.’ They provide an intuitive interface that doesn't get in the way of a film editor’s creative instincts." Barry Nulman, director of entertainment market development and western operations for Avid, said, "Today’s professionals have a wider and wider range of tools from which to choose, but Avid solutions remain at the top of the list for those who are creating the industry’s most highly acclaimed programming. Whether they’re working on dramas, comedies, reality shows, or miniseries, these professionals can find Avid products that are specifically customized to meet both their production and budgetary needs. We’d like to thank this year’s Emmy winners and nominees for continuing to recognize the value of using Avid solutions as they push the bounds of creativity and excellence in television."
