PNY Technologies Launches New Line of Broadcast HD-SDI & Video Editing Solutions

PNY Technologies, Inc. announced the next generation of their Broadcast SDI based solutions and Professional Video Edition graphic boards. PNY Technologies is offering a range of new products for the HD-SDI broadcast, film and video production markets.

The NVIDIA Quadro FX 5500 SDI by PNY Technologies will be showcased in NVIDIA’S booth (#SL591) at NAB2006. With uncompressed HD-SDI output and an exceptional 1GB frame buffer memory, this combination creates a breakthrough for high-definition "live-to-air" Broadcast solutions. This ultra high-performance graphic board allows broadcasters to generate and output both standard and high definition TV content in real-time, making it the ideal solution for high definition live-to-air 3D graphics, broadcast news, traffic and weather graphics, 2k digital film playback and digital intermediate uses.

Also launched at NAB2006 will be the new family of Professional Video Edition graphic boards. Designed for the professional video market, these new boards feature an external video breakout box, which provides real-time HD Component, S-Video, and composite video connections. This provides video editors with independent, full-screen video overlay output for preview of real time effects, video editing timelines and source clips on video monitors. Dual-link DVI display support allows this new family of professional graphic boards to drive the ultra-high resolution 30" digital flat panels. The new line-up includes:

  • The NVIDIA Quadro FX 1500 by PNY Technologies Professional Video Edition:The first professional graphic board in the midrange segment to offer 256MB of GDDR3 memory and HD monitoring. Designed for the professional video workstation market, it delivers the performance and features required for non-linear editing, special effects processing and DVD authoring. This powerful solution provides GPU application acceleration for speeding up performance and enhancing production workflow.
  • The NVIDIA Quadro FX 560 by PNY Technologies Professional Video Edition:A cost-effective HDV editing solution for the prosumer and industrial video market. This provides the budget minded HDV video editor with a very fast graphic processor, 128MB of GDDR3 memory and HDV monitoring.

PNY Technologies Professional Video Edition graphic boards are certified by Adobe® for Premiere® Pro and by other leading ISVs for non-linear and real-time graphic applications. These broadcast and HD video editing solutions are available now from PNY Technologies through resellers nationwide and for OEM application integration.
