"Our vision for a videographers association included accountability," says Steve Wernick, the Director of Development for The 4EVER Group. "Accountability means members will be able to vote for an active Board of Directors." A committee, which included a dozen of the leading videographers from across North America, has contributed valuable ideas to this effort. According to Wernick, "the industry has been calling for something like this for quite a while, and a tremendous team effort has made it possible." The 4EVER Group Videographers Network will be established as a non-profit association, and members will be called affiliates. During April, 2006 appearances at the Jacksonville Videographers Association and the Michigan Independent Videographers Association, the Directors of The 4EVER Group laid out some of the basics of this new organization. "The outline was received well by the members of the JVA," said Tim Ryan, Director of Education "They were looking forward to seeing the complete membership program, as this is the next natural step in the evolution of our industry." Wernick said that members will vote for a Board of Directors, who will be given the task of setting the association’s agenda. Membership benefits, such as discounts for 4EVER Group workshops/convention and voting rights will be immediately available. Many more, including Property and Health Insurance, Credit Card Processing, and Product Discounts for members will be announced in the coming weeks. "When you’re consulting with outside vendors, especially insurance companies, product offers can take some time to be fully ready for our marketplace," says Wernick. The dues structure for The 4EVER Group Videographers Network has been set. "Founding Memberships" will be available for a limited time (until June 30, 2006) at only $99 for one year. Founding Members will also be able to sign up for two years at this special price, during this time. After June 30, the regular annual dues rate of $149/year will apply. Student memberships will be $99/year. Studio and Vendor memberships will also be available. Full membership details, including application forms, are available at www.4EVERGroup.org.
