News a Safe Harbor blog3D Starts Here-NVIDIA Presents 3D Digital Video Pipeline at IBC 2010
(Amsterdam-IBC, The NetherlandsSeptember 9, 2010) At IBC 2010, NVIDIA (Hall 7, Stand 7.J38) will offer broadcast and film production professionals an opportunity to see how the world looks in a new dimension, showcasing its new NVIDIA® Quadro® Digital Video Pipeline, a turnkey production workflow system which dramatically simplifies and accelerates the production of live 3D broadcasts, including an integral new component of the Pipeline—NVIDIA 3D Vision™ Pro glasses for enabling live, 3D stereoscopic production workflow, at full resolution, at each stage of the production pipeline. The NVIDIA Quadro Digital Video Pipeline incorporates new Quadro graphics processing units (GPUs) based on the NVIDIA Fermi architecture, delivering enhanced graphics processing and visual effects simulation, with performance that is up to five times faster for 3D applications1. New capabilities the Digital Video Pipeline offers, which will be demonstrated throughout the show, include: Real-time 3D graphics insertion; 3D encoding; 3D video streaming over the Internet, and; 3D video editing with Adobe Premiere Pro Creative Suite 5 and the CineForm Neo3D plug-in. Over 20 NVIDIA partners will be demonstrating NVIDIA CUDA™-based solutions for virtual sets, color grading, and video encoding, including: Adobe, Ambrado, Blackmagic Design, BroadMotion, Elemental Technologies, Iridas, MainConcept, Microsoft, and The Foundry. The recently introduced, new NVIDIA Quadro 5000 and Quadro 4000 GPUs enable faster computational performance across a broad range of visualization applications, including Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 software, shattering previous benchmarks2. With Adobe Premiere Pro software CS5, version 5.0.2, users can now experience even richer, more vivid image quality with the broadest dynamic range and support for 30-bit color fidelity (10-bits per color; available only on Quadro GPUs). Featuring more graphics memory than any other products in their class, the NVIDIA Quadro 5000 (with 2.5 GB) and Quadro 4000 (with 2 GB) professional graphics solutions benefit anyone working with complex video production projects, including ultra high resolution 4K video streams such as RED. Even more impressive, and rated at an unheard of 1.3 billion triangles per second in raw performance3, the Quadro 6000 enables users to interactively work with models and scenes that are five times more complex than ever before. IBC attendees will also see Quadro solutions spanning across multiple, ultra-high resolution displays, as well as SDI monitors and projectors4. See it all in action starting September 10th at the NVIDIA booth at IBC, Hall 7, Stand 7.J38.
