(San Jose, CaliforniaDecember 9, 2010) Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq:ADBE) today announced the call for entries for the eleventh annual Adobe® Design Achievement Awards (ADAA), expanding its global reach to 15 languages and adding new categories for faculty and students. This premier competition honors the best student graphic designers, photographers, illustrators, animators, digital filmmakers, developers and computer artists from accredited higher education institutions worldwide. To recognize teaching excellence, Adobe has introduced three new categories for faculty. It has also added student categories in game design, Web analytics and mobile analytics to award advances in these burgeoning areas. This update message is from a recent post at Adobe's blog. Today, the Premiere Pro CS5 (5.0.3) update was released. Important: For now, you must directly download the update package from the download page for Windows or Mac OS, using the "Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 5.0.3 update" link. You must choose the correct patcher based on your original installation type. Soon, the update will be available through Adobe Application Manager, and you’ll be able to automatically install the update by choosing Help > Updates. But not yet. Don’t be confused by the Photoshop, Bridge, and Camera Raw updates that are also available. If you have difficulty with this update, please bring questions and issues to the Premiere Pro forum. Don’t ask questions in the comments on this blog post, which fewer people will see. There are a lot of bug fixes and some changes in capabilities in this update. This article gives the highlights.
