Matrox Convert DVI release 4.0 for PC and 1.0.1 for Mac are now available for download. New features make Matrox Convert DVI Plus even simpler and more convenient to use. Automatic input detection is particularly important for A/V integrators who might regularly deal with a variety of input devices in the course of their work. Now any computer running at any resolution can be connected at the input, and Matrox Convert DVI Plus will automatically output at the desired, preprogrammed resolution. On the PC, the graphic overlay feature lets users add a custom logo or graphic to the Convert DVI Plus output. For example, any PNG or TGA file can be displayed over a YouTube video, a Skype conversation, or a Google Earth map. Snap-to-window support enables users to automatically position the region-of-interest to output any window or element within an application or website, such as a YouTube video. This software update adds broadcast monitoring support with the recent Final Cut Pro X 10.0.3 update. Broadcast monitoring in Final Cut Pro X 10.0.3 allows video and audio output to a variety of external monitors and other equipment using the SDI, HDMI or analog video outputs from Matrox products. Beta release 3.0.1 also provides support for Apple Compressor 4 with all MAX-enabled Matrox MXO2 devices and the Mojito MAX card.
