Matrox Convert DVI release 4.0 for PC and 1.0.1 for Mac are now available for download.

New features make Matrox Convert DVI Plus even simpler and more convenient to use. Automatic input detection is particularly important for A/V integrators who might regularly deal with a variety of input devices in the course of their work. Now any computer running at any resolution can be connected at the input, and Matrox Convert DVI Plus will automatically output at the desired, preprogrammed resolution.

On the PC, the graphic overlay feature lets users add a custom logo or graphic to the Convert DVI Plus output. For example, any PNG or TGA file can be displayed over a YouTube video, a Skype conversation, or a Google Earth map. Snap-to-window support enables users to automatically position the region-of-interest to output any window or element within an application or website, such as a YouTube video.

Matrox ConvertUtils version 4.0 provides the following new features on the PC:

  • A new input detection feature for stand-alone mode that allows Convert DVI Plus to automatically detect the output resolution of the DVI device connected to its input, and outputs the entire content as either anamorphic, letterbox, or pillarbox video. This feature is especially useful if you regularly deal with a variety of input devices with different resolutions in the course of your work. (Convert DVI Plus only)
  • A new graphic overlay feature that lets you add a PNG or TGA graphic to the output canvas, which will appear on all outputs. This feature is ideal for logo overlay. (Convert DVI Plus only)
  • A new snap-to-window feature that lets you automatically snap the region-of-interest to any window or element within an application or website, such as a YouTube video. (Convert DVI Plus only)
  • The region of interest selection window now has improved resizing handles.
  • The live preview window now includes scaling handles for easier manipulation of the output content. (Convert DVI Plus only)
  • Holding shift when scaling the output content manually in the live preview window now maintains the output content's aspect ratio. (Convert DVI Plus only)
  • New controls for selecting one or more audio pairs for embedded SDI audio output.
  • Fixes the intermittent issue of a green video output when resizing the region of interest selection window.
  • Fixes an audio delay issue for Convert DVI.
  • Improved DVI loop-through compatibility.

Matrox Convert DVI version 1.0.1 provides the following new features on the Mac:

  • A new input detection feature for stand-alone mode that allows Convert DVI Plus to automatically detect the output resolution of the DVI device connected to its input, and outputs the entire content as either anamorphic, letterbox, or pillarbox video. This feature is especially useful if you regularly deal with a variety of input devices with different resolutions in the course of your work. (Convert DVI Plus only)
  • Fixes the intermittent issue of a green video output when resizing the region of interest selection window.
  • Fixes an audio delay issue for Convert DVI.
  • Improved DVI loop-through compatibility.
