Quick Overview

While there is a lot of debate currently in the industry about whether the future of high-definition video is downloads or optical media, there is still a need for many filmmakers to create high-definition optical discs of their projects. And that means creating Blu-ray Discs.

Manufacturer Part Number: LJ-26

The goal of this webinar is to take an HD project from Final Cut Pro and create a Blu-ray Disc for it. However, Final Cut Pro has only a limited ability to create Blu-ray Discs. So this session looks at three ways to create high-definition optical discs: using Final Cut Pro, Roxio Toast, and Adobe Encore. Along the way, we will explore the differences between Blu-ray and AVCHD Discs, standard compression settings and data rates, and take a close look at authoring Blu-ray Discs using Adobe Encore.

Audience Level
You should have a basic knowledge of Final Cut Pro. It will help if you know something about DVD Studio Pro, but this is not required. This session assumes you have NO knowledge of either Roxio Toast or Adobe Encore.

NOTE: Roxio Toast and Adobe Encore are available separately and are not included with Final Cut Studio. Only Final Cut Pro 7 supports burning Blu-ray Discs.
