    • 16 Bit Color Depth: 16 bit deep-color provides users with the ability to generate smoother gradients and more precise color correction via an expanded color palette, which expands the available color gamut from 16 million (8 bit color) to trillions of colors.) the result Is that gradients are far less prone to mach banding or color stepping.

DualView display mode on a dual monitor NVIDIA based configuration
To run using the DualView display mode on a dual monitor configuration, BLUE 2.5 (standalone or plugin) requires the following NVIDIA driver Performance and Quality settings:

  • nView Display set to DualView
  • Hardware Acceleration set to Single Display mode
  • Unified Back Buffer turned OFF (Quadro only setting, not relevant to GeForce boards)

NOTE: using DualView with Hardware Acceleration set to Single Mode allows the system to treat the 2 monitors as individual monitors while focusing the OGL Hardware Acceleration to the primary monitor. It is necessary to work with your video display windows on the primary monitor for them to update during playback using these NVIDIA settings.

Monitor configuration limitation for working in 1080i HD size on NVIDIA based system
In the current Blue 2.5 release it is necessary to set nView Display to Horizontal Span in the NVIDIA Control Panel or run the system in a single monitor configuration for working with 1080i HD size projects (1920 x1080 pixels) – meaning the NVIDIA card must be set to treat the 2 monitors as a single wide monitor or it must be driving only one monitor rather than two to successfully render Blue 2 effects at that resolution. Blue 1080i effect output (plugin or standalone) will be cropped when running 2 monitors in DualView configuration.

  • Slant Wipe: The incoming image Pans in with a Slant effect effect -the Slant then undistorts to complete the transition.
  • Rain Wipe: The in coming image is wiped in matted with synthetic rain, which becomes dense enough to cover the whole image, completing the effect
  • Blur Dissolve: The incoming and outgoing images are blurred, with the blur automatically animating to 0 at the end of the effect when the image becomes fully visible, completing the effect. Apply modes can be used with the blurs to create glow and other unusual effects. Apply modes can be applied to the dissolve phase to boost contrast in the middle of the effect. This feature can be used very effectively without the blur to create an enhanced dissolve.

All of the new transitions have hold and ease controls at the start of the effect and additional transition specific controls to allow the user to control effect timing without keyframes.

Boris Title Toolkit gives Adobe After Effects users superior titling capabilities in a familiar environment for maximum quality, speed, and creativity. Using Title Toolkit, video editors, graphic artists, and compositors can import ASCII or RTF files for fast, easy credit rolls, take advantage of rich text style options such as bevel borders, gradient fills, simulated extrusion, and embossing, and save or apply custom or preset text styles, gradients, and colors, all of which can be applied on a per character basis.
