DESCRIPTION
DeckLink Optical Fiber is identical to DeckLink SDI, but lowers the cost of using optical fiber SDI, by building optical fiber directly into the card! DeckLink Optical Fiber is compatible with Windows™, Mac OS X™ and Linux™ and features HD/SD-SDI, optical fiber SDI capture and playback, reference input, RS-422 deck control and SD keying. DeckLink Optical Fiber let’s you use common low cost optical fiber networking cable that electricians can install. Optical Fiber is virtually future proof and is the future of SDI video for the television industry.

As these are "file based" formats there is no capture support - you simply copy the data from a camera onto a machine and then playout via DeckLink, Multibridge, or Intensity. There are presets for all of the above formats, so you can use native sequences with CUDA support - just make sure the footage frame size and frame rate matches the sequence you're trying to play it in.

• Adobe CS5 is now supported!
• Also new in this update is the introduction of DVCPRO50 and DVCPRO HD capture and playback support in Windows for Adobe Premiere Pro. You can now capture and playback to a widely accepted industry codec using other BlackMagic products and work with broadcast quality video without the need for expensive drive arrays.
