| Osprey-440 with SimulStream Specifications |
The Osprey-440 is a 64-bit, four-channel, multi-port audio and video capture card. This PCI-X card can process four channels of full-motion (30 fps) video and audio, from four NTSC or PAL analog sources. The Osprey-440 features Logo/Bitmap overlay capability, audio gain control, and programmable audio sampling rates. Based on the reliability of ViewCast's Osprey® Video capture card, the Osprey-440 provides multi-source capture through four composite (BNC) connectors on the faceplate plus additional A/V inputs via internal pins on the circuit board. Osprey-440 - Enabling Multi-Channel Video Capture Additional features of the Osprey-440 include four standard alarm inputs, four alarm outputs and support for them within the Osprey AVStream driver SDK. The Osprey-440 includes 12 additional internal video inputs and 4 additional audio inputs that can be switched in as alternatives to the rear panel connectors. These additional inputs and alarm connectors are intended for developers who may wish to source audio and video from within their own enclosure or from other auxiliary sources under their control. Familiar features of other Osprey multimedia-class cards have been retained, including options for SimulStream®, cropping, logo overlay, and audio capture. Multiple cards may be used in a single system chassis. The Osprey-440 is compatible with the Osprey SDK for development of media applications supporting Video-for-Windows and DirectShow®. Features:

Streaming and Scalability
Streaming media production today faces potential scalability concerns. Reaching the broadest audience of media consumers with an optimized experience requires increased production time, hardware requirements, and general bandwidth.
The Optimized Solution...SimulStream!
SimulStream is designed to provide the optimized experience of streamlined workflow.
The SimulStream Solution provides multiple formats to multiple audiences with minimal hardware and CPU impact.
Plus the scalability that allows for multiple formats and individual stream optimization.
Advantages:
To enable SimulStream, you will first need to meet the following product requirements:
* Please note: SimulStream enables multi-streaming from the analog ports of the Osprey-300. The Osprey-300 is not multi-streaming capable from it's IEEE-1394 port. However you can perform multi-streaming from the analog ports while capturing video from the IEEE-1394 port at the same time with SimulStream and the Osprey-300.
