Combining and enhancing the features of both the ADVC700 and ADVC1000 converters, ADVC3000 can convert between analog and DV, DV and SD-SDI, and analog and SD-SDI. Whether you need to convert YUV component video to uncompressed SDI, DV to Y/C S-Video, or simply to de-embed and re-embed audio from a digital video stream, ADVC3000 is designed to meet the conversion requirements of broadcasters, cable operators, video professionals and post-production. PerfectSync controls and synchronizes the transfer rate of IEEE 1394 communication with an external reference signal. This prevents skipped and duplicate frames and produces perfect conversion of all frames during analog/DV and SDI/DV conversion. Many of the current DV converters adjust the output by skipping and/or duplicating frames in order to synchronize the DV signal to an external sync signal's frame frequency. In these converters, there is no guarantee that all input frames will output to DV accurately without frame repetition and/or frame drops. Since ADVC3000 is primarily designed for studio environments, frame accuracy is essential for accurate offline/online editing. With PerfectSync, this is assured. VTR Control by AV/C-RS422 Conversion ADVC3000 converts DV device control signals to RS422, to control an external VTR. Such control makes it possible to take in data from up to two professional VTRs, such as Digital Betacam, from any standard DV editing software that features DV device control. Professional Video System Input Reference input and LTC input/output can be utilized to create a professional video editing system with editors or switchers. ADVC3000 can also de-embed the audio from SDI input out to AES/EBU terminals, to support multi-channel audio operation with a professional audio mixer. Other audio control features include individual digital audio peak meters, individual analog audio level knobs, balanced audio input/output headroom/level/600ohm termination, down-mixed two-channel output for audio monitoring, and the ability to combine video and audio from two difference sources and output to a single DV stream, complete with audio delay adjustment. Analog Video Input Filtering ADVC3000 also features built-in analog filtering technology to improve the quality of analog video input during conversion.
