Shadow Designer 2.0

Value:  Features:  Quality:  Overall:  Very useful Add-on for LightWave 6.5 The quality of the Shadows is fantastic. On one side you can have and tweak soft shadows that are equal and superior in quality to the LightWave arealights, on the other side you can use the Shadow-Designer to eficiently replace the Shadowmapped Spotlights, that lack correct physics and often have trouble recognising the true structure of objects. But there are a few backdraws with Shadow Designer: - Lensflares and Fog don't count for Shadow Designer, you have to add these effects afterwards! - The Light-Object can be anything in the scene, so you can't use automatically the settings of existent light sources. - Transparent surfaces throw the same shadows as opaque surfaces. - Hypervoxels aren't recognised by the plugin. But nevertheless, the posibilities of Shadow Designer are a great addition to the lighting engine of LightWave and help the Artist in many ways to achieve just the effect he is searching for! Value:  Features:  Quality:  Overall:  well worth 3 times the money Shadow Designer fullfills my long time dream of getting soft edge shadow in LW. It looks way better than area light, and with a few additional light for bouce, you get totally get the radiosity look with clean shadow. It's fairly easy to use, just start with the included sample scene and play with the parameter, get something that fits your fancy and use it in your own scene. Value:  Features:  Quality:  Overall:  A Must Have Tool For LightWave Soft Shadows! I simply love what this new plugin allows to do...you have so much control over the soft shadows and you don't need any enhanced AA; low AA produces stunning results!
