HyperDeck Studio Mini features dual media slots for non stop recording. When the recording card becomes full, recording automatically continues onto the next card. That means you'll never have to worry about missing an important shot. That’s perfect when recording at longer live events because the cards are also hot swappable, so you can swap a full card for an empty one while recording continues in the other slot! Each slot has an indicator light that changes color to show status so you’ll instantly know which card is in use. With the latest software updates, you can now transfer up to 110 Megabytes per second, which is so fast it allows you to copy video files as fast as the SD card can handle it! To upload media files remotely, you can use the FTP protocol or use common FTP client software. There are many types of FTP software available for uploading files. You can also remote control HyperDeck using an easy text based protocol, so it's easy to use simple Telnet to test your control commands. Simply log into HyperDeck and then type "play" or "record" and it will execute the command. It's that simple!
RS-422 Deck Control

The most popular control connection used on broadcast decks since the early 1980s is the RS-422 protocol. Originally developed by Sony, RS-422 is used on almost all broadcast gear. HyperDeck Studio Mini features wide protocol support so you can connect it direct to broadcast systems. It also supports extra commands for the Advanced Media Protocol for managing disk recorders. When designing RS-422 control solutions, you'll know you’re connected to a HyperDeck Studio Mini when you see the ID 0xF0E0 in 30/60p, 0xF1E0 in 25/50p or 0xF2E0 in 24p. Y LiftAdjust the contrast of the image in the darker areas, specifically in the Y (luminance) channel only. This adjustment is great for a changing the black point without changing saturation.
Y GammaAdjust the contrast of the image in the mid-tone areas, specifically in the Y (luminance) channel only. This control helps add depth to shots, along with extra vibrancy.
Y GainAdjust the contrast of the image in the brighter areas, specifically in the Y (luminance) channel only. You can reduce hot shots or pull the whites to make the shot look more angelic!
ContrastIncrease contrast to make the blacks darker and the whites brighter, or decrease contrast to do the opposite. Use this to improve the dynamic range and make shots pop!
PivotChanges the center of tonality about which dark and bright parts of the image are stretched or narrowed during a contrast adjustment.
Mid-tone DetailIncreases the contrast of regions of the image with high edge detail to increase or decrease the perception of image sharpness and definition or when lowered regions of the image with low amounts of detail are softened while areas of high detail are left untouched. Great for softening facial features and popular for beauty shots.
Color BoostNaturally raise the saturation in regions of the image with low saturation while leaving properly saturated areas alone. Sometimes referred to as a vibrance operation, this is great for adding color without over saturating the image.
ShadowsSelectively lighten or darken shadow detail. Raising this value retrieves shadow detail while leaving the mid-tones untouched.
HighlightsEasily retrieve blown out highlight detail in high dynamic range media by lowering this parameter to achieve a smooth blend between the retrieved highlights and the unadjusted mid tones for a natural result.
SaturationIncreases or decreases overall image saturation. At higher values, colors appear more intense, while at lower values color intensity diminishes and can be adjusted until all color is gone, leaving a grayscale image.
HueRotates all hues of the image around the full perimeter of the color wheel. The default setting is 50, which retains the original unaffected distribution of hues.
Luminance MixControl the balance between the YRGB adjustments and Y only adjustments made using the Y channel lift, gamma and gain controls in the primaries palette or the un-ganged luma curve.
High Resolution DisplaysThe DaVinci Resolve Advanced Panel and DaVinci Resolve Mini Panel feature bright full color displays allowing full control over the massive creative toolset built into DaVinci Resolve. Blackmagic MultiView models feature multi rate SDI inputs with full frame re-synchronization and some models also have separate loop through outputs, making them compatible with your existing equipment. MultiView 4 is the same size as Blackmagic Design’s Teranex Mini range of 12G-SDI converters. This means you can use the Teranex Mini Rack Shelf for rack mounting the MultiView 4 and even combine multiple MultiView 4 models on the same rack shelf, or combine with a mix of Teranex Mini converters and MultiViews. The choice is yours! If you are in critical broadcast environments where you need to be able to change settings at any time then you can also add the Teranex Mini Smart Panel. Connect multi view in line with your SDI feeds for easy installation!
The future proof design of Blackmagic MultiView includes multi rate SDI inputs with low jitter and automatic frame re‑synchronization on all inputs. Each loop output is also re‑clocked so you can put MultiView in line with other SDI equipment such as a live production switcher for camera source monitoring, or to view the output of other SDI equipment without having to use up additional dedicated router outputs. All Multiview models support 90V to 240V AC so they can be used anywhere internationally and will just work when plugged in. LCD Screens and RGB Tally

Unlike a simple tally light, SmartView includes tally borders displayed in green, red or blue to signify preview, on air, or recording. This means during live production you will always know when you are recording or on-air, or you can see which camera is cued up on your switcher’s preview output. Tally is connected via an industry standard parallel pin connector on the rear panel so you get full compatibility with switchers or automation systems.
Optimize viewing angle
In busy production facilities such as television stations and post production houses, racks are often packed with video and audio equipment. This means you may need to install SmartView monitors in the extreme top or bottom of equipment racks. SmartView monitors are designed to compensate because the LCDs can be easily rotated for the optimum viewing angle. The SmartView monitor will automatically sense the rotation angle of the screen and flip the image to the correct rotation. You can even remove the front panel and rotate it 180 degrees if required!
Central Ethernet Control
Now you can control all your monitors from a single location and make sure all your monitors match each other for a consistent look and an accurate display of the image. Simply connect SmartView to your Ethernet network and use the included Mac and Windows SmartView Utility software to adjust all your monitors. The SmartView Utility uses the common networking software, Bonjour, to automatically find all the monitors installed on your network and display them in a list for you to select. You can even plug directly into the monitor using the USB to setup ethernet settings. You can save monitor settings, or copy settings from one monitor to another to make setup fast. Realtime two way communication with your cameras!
ATEM Television Studio features built in talkback that takes advantage of rarely used SDI channels 15 and 16 to send talkback audio to and from the camera. There's also headset connections on the front panel for talking to and listening from cameras that support SDI talkback. The talkback from the camera is embedded in the SDI video feed from the camera to the switcher. If you connect the talkback SDI outputs of the switcher back to the camera, then the director’s talkback audio is sent to the cameras along with tally and camera control. The 4 SDI outputs feature talkback to cameras with mix minus. This lets you send program audio back to an interviewee so they hear everything except themselves, and won’t be distracted by hearing a delayed audio echo.

All popular image formats are supported, or you can direct download from Photoshop CC with the included plug-in. ATEM Production Studio 4K models support up to 32 Ultra HD RGBA still frame graphics, while ATEM 4 M/E Broadcast Studio 4K supports 64 Ultra HD RGBA still frame graphics and 180 frames of real time Ultra HD video or 720 frames of real time 1080 HD video.

The advanced keyer features adjustable on-screen controls for selecting and sampling a region of color from the image. This new keyer also features foreground, background and edge adjustment controls, and chroma correction tools for spill and flare suppression so you can fine tune the key. ATEM Switchers work seamlessly with Blackmagic HyperDeck SSD recorders. You can connect up to 4 HyperDecks as sources, just like cameras, to playback pre-recorded clips during live program production! You can see the clips on each HyperDeck, select any clip, cue it, pre-roll, and play it back at any time. You can even create macros to record from an incoming camera source and play it back in slow motion! To automate complex sequences of precisely timed actions on your ATEM switcher, you can now create powerful shortcuts called macros. Record a sequence of transitions between video sources, including key effects, audio mixer adjustments, camera control settings and more using the ATEM software or hardware control panel. Macros are saved as XML files that can even be edited with a standard text editor so you can combine them together to build sophisticated sequences that would be impossible to execute manually during a live production! That means you can create unique looks for your programs that can be recalled instantly, copied between switchers and used over and over again!
